Really, They Do

Our amazing gardening neighbor gave us these irises.  She said they had a special scent and we wouldn't believe it until we could smelled it ourselves.  She told us what they were suppose to smell like, but we were skeptical.  Then the next spring, we smelled the irises.

And, what do they smell like?

Really.  These irises smell like grape Kool-Aid!
I wish you could smell them here.

  5. Aren't irises amazing. I swear the purple ones smell like grape, and the peach colored ones smell like peaches. How can that be?

Thanks for stopping by. Now I'll have to check my peach irises closer. They haven't opened yet.
