First Tomato

Here it is.  The first tomato of the season.

It's a roma tomato.

He's going to sit here on the kitchen counter for a few days to ripen some more.  Then, we're going to eat him!

  3. There's nothing better than a vine ripe tomato, for sure! My hubby brought in one lonely cherry tomato yesterday. I told him I would half it with him. He let me have "whole" thing.
I popped in my mouth. "Squish" gulp....so good!
    Have a great weekend!

  4. We picked our first tomato last week and I am glad we did. Heavy rains brought a lot of snails and they ate through the next 5 tomatoes that were just about ready to be picked. The snails got to my green peppers too.

I'm hearing about a lot of snail damage this year. That's no good!

  6. Unfortunately my tomatoes are still as green as grass, in fact greener than grass cos that's almost brown at the moment.

  7. Looks good! I think I planted my tomato plants too close together and it is hard to reach them. Oh, well.....plant and learn.
