The Lettuce Sprouted

So far, so good with my "icing the lettuce" experiment.  The lettuce sprouted.  I am more careful how I place the ice now but I'm still putting it on the soil at least once a day.

  1. Good news for salad eaters on Sherlock Street! I love this ice trick! gail

  2. Won't be long and you'll be eating lettuce!

  3. The lettuce is really starting to grow now. I hope you get some rain. My rain barrel has been full this summer all summer for the first time.

  4. What an interesting and smart thing to do! Yeah, for your lettuce!

  5. Congrats! Now keep that lettuce protected from the bunnies.

  6. It sure does look like it's working! Makes me want to get out and try growing some lettuce now since we had little luck earlier this year.

I can't wait for the salads.

    I hope so.

To always have a rain barrel of water. That is great.

The bunnies don't seem to like to go in the box. I also have some wire mesh I can put over it.

I'm hoping I can keep it going ok.

  8. That is going to be a lot of salad! Im glad the all came up and made an appreance. Thank You for stopping by.....Julian
