We had a thunderstorm overnight. So glad for the rain but there was a casualty.
The very tall sunflower that I just posted about (took the photo Thursday afternoon) came down in the wind.
Alas, no rain on this part of the prairie and even the herbs are looking a little worse for the heat! Even the heat loving basil! Watering as I write!

Our weather is calling for 30% chance the next few days--unfortunately we are headed to the lake in OK for the weekend--would so love to stay and watch it rain!! Hope it pans out for us--glad you got a supply!!

Rain barrels are great. I started with an unused trash can and dipped it out with a bucket. It just progressed.
