October Tour Has Started

The October tour of Garden on Sherlock Street is ready.  You can take the tour through the pages link in the right hand column or go back one post.

The mild temperatures we've been graced with as of late are helping to keep many of the flowers looking good.

In the back yard you'll  notice the phone company cable laying on the mulch.  I took these photos Saturday morning.

From the vegetable garden, I'm still harvesting lettuce, radishes, cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, basil, jalepeno peppers, bell peppers and tomatoes.

Our city is getting ready for its annual fall cleanup.  That is why there are a few odd items laying in the alley photo.

Enjoy the tour!

  1. Sounds like you are still getting plenty of produce! That's great! No frost last week? It has been low 40's here for a couple nights, but soon to be back up in the 50's at night! I hope the fall frost is still several weeks away!! Everything looks great!

  2. Your garden scrubs up very well. Mine looks like a lunatic has run around it, discarding junk and knocking things over ... oh, hang on a minute!

We were down to at least 36 Sunday morning with a little frost visible on the roofs. All my plants are still fine. Don't see another frost in the forecast so I'm hanging on to the produce!

The garden cleans up pretty well. The wild area doesn't look too bad from the back door. Up close it's, well, wild!
