Blooms

The August tour lacked a lot of color because nothing wanted to bloom in the heat.

Now, flowers are appearing.

The butterfly bush started blooming in time for the monarch butterflies.

The ivy geranium is busy showing off.

And, the hummingbirds have arrived!

  1. Beautiful blooms! And I shall send you my hummers. I have to say this is the first year I will be glad to see them leave......fight , fight, fight. I'm about ready to take the flyswatter to a particularly mean male.

  3. Lucky you to catch a hummer. They are such beautiful little birds. I love to watch how fast those little wings are going. Love that ivy geranium.

  4. I understand about the heat! Our garden looks somewhat disheveled with few blooms to really share or show off. Butterfly bushes are an exception though!

  5. Lovely butterfly bush. I wonder if it can withstand the wind out here in the country.

  9. We've been enjoying our hummingbirds, but not much is in bloom here because of the drought and the heat. I really like your ivy geranium.

  11. Beautiful pictures. We have had a similar time here, but it was the rain that slowed things down I wish we got humming birds over here in the UK, we only get humming bird moths....not so beautiful!

  12. Do your hummers come late? Ours have possibly all left, though due to the failure of my agastache to tempt them (and the monarda they loved died an ugly death), I'm not sure. Great pics!
