Almost Halloween

The pumpkin plant at Garden on Sherlock Street barely survived yet alone make any pumpkins.  So, once again I purchased my pumpkins at the grocery store.    I carved ghosts this year.

We have managed to not eat the Halloween candy we purchased for the trick-or-treaters.
Here's wishing you a fun Halloween!

  1. I love your pumpkins! Your roasted pumpkin seeds sound tasty. I will never forget when we first married, Mr. Maple Lane purchased GIANT pumpkin seeds. He had one pumpkin - about the size of my fist!!!

  3. I admire ANY/EVERYone who can carve pumpkins into recognizable designs of ANY kind! (Congrats on resisting the Halloween candy.)

  4. Love the jack-o-lanterns! (And congratulations on the self control regarding that candy! Living out in the country, we don't get trick-or-treaters any more, so we've given up buying any...which makes self control a lot easier.)

  10. It took me a little minute to see the ghosts in your jack. .they are great!! The part of the story I heard about our pumpkin seeds was "dad dropped them." "Yeah, mostly all of them." then some under the breath muttering by the 8 year old. .too bad for us. .we always love the seeds!!

  11. My pumpkins never made it to carving this year. They turned into 9 pies and loads of toasted seeds. Your pumpkins are cute. I hope you are not offended I did not say scary.
