Turning A Frown Upside Down

I last shared this photo with you in July when the heat was bringing an end to several plants in the garden.
It was a fitting image for this gardener's mood.

The local arts council hosts a photography competition and exhibit each year.  I enjoy submitting photos and supporting the arts council with my entry fees.  I've been fortunate to have a couple of photos accepted for the exhibits over the years.  Most of my photos are of the garden.  Big surprise.  This year, I included this photo and it was accepted!  So, I'm smiling even if froggy still looks sad.

  2. That's really wonderful. Doesn't it make you feel good...just a little?:) Today's mission. Photograph our 5 cats together for my mom.....I don't even know if that's possible. Hope your Sunday is enjoyable:)

  3. Cute picture. We do the same here at our local art exhibit. It's fun although they lump pros and ams in the same competition. Guess who never wins -- the ams! But we compete every year anyway!

  6. Congrats on having your picture accepted for the photography competition. Mr. Frog looks like he just ate a bad bug. The more I look at him the more he makes me smile. Maybe this will be the year of surprise winners.

Have a great garden frog day.

  14. It is nice that they accepted your frog. Congrats! He has a cute, but such a sad expression. The shadowing makes your photo all the more convincing to his demeanor.
