Over the past year, I have been taking photos out of one of our upstairs windows. I was hoping to show the different seasons in a slide show. The slide show is in the right hand column. I've been adding the photos as I take them.
I discovered that a branch of our locust tree blocks some of the view when it has leaves and I should have taken more photos, but I think you get the idea.
I'm considering doing this again over the coming year. Any suggestions? Should I shoot out of a different window, focus on a planting bed, see who's at the bird feeders? I'm open to ideas.

What a wonderful idea. I would love for you to include other areas and the birdfeeders. I notice how much our plants have grown just in one year! It's fun to look back at old photos but a video would be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI really liked that!! It's a whole new perspective on your backyard, and makes it easier to get a lay of the land :-) If you had another window to see out of, it would be fun to see the difference. I always enjoy the view from our upstairs room too. .kinda magical!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea -- I take photos but not enough really -- should do it on a specified day and time (i.e. 10 a.m. on the first day of the month!) It was fun watching the pics.

ReplyDeleteGreat slideshow! I've been trying to get around to one of those of my flower gardens, but alas...And I like the locust "border" (if those leaves at the top of the picture are what you're talking about).
ReplyDeleteYour slide show is a great thumbnail of your progress and how the garden changes over time. I think it will be interesting to watch those beds fill in over time and I LIKE the locust leaves along the top edge.

ReplyDeleteI've always been going to do that in my garden but something happens about the end of April and the pictures never continue. Maybe this will be the year to make it all the way through the year.
