Last fall, I planted some red tulips at one end of a bed.
They are rewarding me with a blast of color.
The lilacs already smell wonderful. They are about to burst open. I checked last year's posts and they didn't bloom until April 22nd. They are crazy early this year. I've already cut some to bring inside.

Everything is crazy early this year -- we missed so much by leaving on April 14 last year -- no tulips, not all of the daffs and definitely no lilacs. This year everything is blooming now and in spades!
ReplyDeleteI love red tulips and lilacs. My cat always loved to rub her face on the lilac blossoms (kind of like it was catnip!)
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could have tulips that liked it here. It is just too warm. Oh well. Love the lilac!
ReplyDeleteYour Tulips are lovely and I can't believe the Lilac is ready to bloom already. Although I do have buds close also on my Bloomerang.

The tulips are lovely and so are the lilacs. I can't believe how early things are this year. Our forsythia and daffodils are blooming a full SIX weeks early. Of course, Ma Nature didn't take the freezing night time temps away---grrrr.
ReplyDeleteYour red tulips are so pretty. Lilacs! Does anything smell any better than they do.
ReplyDeleteI noticed as well yesterday evening that a white lilac had open blooms. .and today the purple one did as well. .I sure hope they last until Sunday when I get back. .I'll be disappointed if I don't get to bring in a bouquet to smell up my house!!
