There is a retired couple in our town with more tulips in their garden than I've ever seen in one place before. I posted some photos of their tulips a couple of years ago. The early spring weather this year is helping the display be spectacular.
While there are a few other colors, most are red or yellow.
Known as the tulip house in town, it was a front page story in our local newspaper recently.

Gosh that took some planning to get that tulip bed to look so fantastic. I would drive by often to see that! Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHow very beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing these photos. How much joy these tulips give to so many people.
ReplyDeleteIn my hometown growing up, two older ladies had a yard full of jonquils.
Happy Easter to you!
Gorgeous. I can't imagine planting all those....but I'm sure that display makes it all worth while. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete:)
Wow! The is a good title. How amazing are all of those tulips. Makes me wonder what is there the rest of the year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful yard! I agree with Lona, what does it look like the rest of the year?!
ReplyDeleteIn the photo without a house, you'll notice the grasses and trees. Behind that is a huge vegetable garden. They also have a vegetable garden behind their house. The tulip area becomes lawn. They have a lot of mums around the gardens. Maybe I can get some photos of their wonderful mum display this fall.
ReplyDeleteInteresting display. The clumps certainly are huge.
ReplyDeleteThese tulips are truly spectacular. The only place I have seen with more tulips is the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.
ReplyDeleteWow--that is ALOT of Tulips in a small yard. WE have alot--but not nearly that many.
ReplyDeleteWe did see some awesome tulips today as we visited the Biltmore House and Gardens... They were awesome as well as the Azaleas.
Hugs,
Betsy
Nice pictures. Here are my thoughts:) Our wildflowers are like your tulips. When I see a neighbor with wildflowers like your tulips, I have a bit of garden envy. But then I forget the envy and just stand in awe at their masterpiece. Very lovely set up here:)
ReplyDeleteOh so beautiful!! It'll be wonderful to see the mums as well. Great pictures!!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! That is also magazine worthy.
ReplyDeleteWow, just beautiful. I would love to see their vegetable garden.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific blast of spring. .all at once!! Lucky you to live so close too!!
