No Snow. Just Cold.

We awoke this morning to rain but no snow.
Tonight is suppose to be the main freeze event.  27 degrees Fahrenheit.

I ventured out into the windy afternoon to snap some photos of this blue flax shared with me by Melanie at There's No Place Like Home.
Thanks Mel.  It doesn't seem to care that it's cold.

  2. I have Blue Flax too and I just love it. I really like that it self-seeds and I always like the color blue in the garden. Hope all your plants are OK tonight.

  5. I used to grow blue flax (when we lived north of Topeka) and loved it! It's such a friendly, pretty plant!

We, too, escaped the snow. Better yet, the predicted 28 degrees didn't happen overnight either; we woke up this morning to a low of 37, which is perfectly bearable! Hope that you were this lucky, too.

  6. We had lows in the 30's last night, and again tonight, but it's not supposed to freeze. I hope none of your plants are damaged if it gets down to the forecasted temperatures. That blue is such a beautiful color.

  7. Love the Blue Flax! We have been having some wonderful weather this week but it is suppose to get a little cooler. I am glad you did not get that snow that was hitting some of the states. Awful white stuff. LOL! Have a lovely weekend!

  8. We had a high of 38 here in KC. Marks the first time in history we had a high in the 30s in May. And who says there's no climate change issues out there.

Love the blue flax. We cal all do with more true blue flowers in Midwestern gardens.
