  1. Very nice before, during and now pics. I have a hard time seeing the bigger picture when it comes to a plant filling in a space. I'm hoping to finish a space around our fountain that will have the same effect as you have with your pots here. They all look very healthy and happy:)

  3. All the pots have grown so well. My favourite is still the Purple Fountain Grass in the grey pots, a nice colour combination.

  6. A great idea to track the progress! The containers look wonderful! I also tried some hyacinth bean vine in containers this year and so far I think it looks great - waiting for those wonderful glossy pods to form

  8. Time frame pictures are the best. Your container plants always look so good. You must give them attention every day. I have tried container planting but alas I always forget to water them. They need more water than plants in the ground. Do you give your container plants fertilizer during the growing season? If so, what kind do they get?

Have a great day in the garden.

    1. Actually, I've discovered I was loving my containers too much in years past. A few get water every other day. A handful get water twice a week. Most get watered once a week. I do mix real dirt in with the potting soil. The clay pots dry out the fastest. I'm slowly getting less of them unless they're for plants that I bring in the house. If watering restrictions get tougher, I'll just move them in earlier than normal. I do give the containers fertilizer every two weeks.

  10. Very nice, that hyacinth bean really took off - what a great idea to plant in a container like that.
