Snow In August

A couple of years ago, a friend gave me some seeds for snow on the mountain which is a native wildflower.  It did well, but did not reseed for the next year.

Well, surprise, snow on the mountain has appeared in the side garden again.

  1. I love this. I tried to grow from seed years ago with no luck. Have a nice weekend.

  2. Funny how those show up long after we plant them.
I had Zebrina from a friend show up-----3 years later. Nice surprise.
Looks like a pretty plant. Congrats!

  3. Once it takes hold it's pretty prolific. I like seeing waves of it.

  4. Congrats!!! I thought at first you meant you had snow in August....I'd be heading your way. Summer outside here isn't much fun:(

  5. My eye has been alerted to lots of this blooming right now!! And in places here that I hadn't noticed before!! I will have to try transplanting some to my gardens!

  6. I have some in my woodland border. I thought you were talking about actual snow...You are such a tease.
