Here is the candy roaster squash harvest for the year. Love the colors.
I got the seeds from a friend and gave them a try this year. The vines wrapped everywhere! The leaves were huge and the fruits even bigger.
I simply cut one in half, scooped out the seeds and roasted it in a pan under aluminum foil with a little water in the pan at 350 degrees for about an hour. It came out super soft. Simply scooped it out with a big spoon. Tried a little honey on some and a little butter on some. Both were great. Next time, I think I'll bake one with brown sugar.
