GOSS, it's a right of passage to say that now it's a real tree. :-)
The good thing about fall is that you find out where the birds lived all year!
Ahhhhh---what a sweet little nest. We had a nest in our Confederate Jasmine --and couldn't trim the top of it during the summer until we knew they were gone...Hugs,Betsy
Woohoo! Did you see it during nesting season, or did you only realize it was there after the leaves fell?
I saw it late in the summer already empty but forgot about it until all the leaves fell off.
It's official-the tree is now a REAL tree--it had a residence. How nice!
That's a neat little treasure.Happy Fall ~ FlowerLady
I predict that this won't be the last nest in your hackberry tree.
And a mighty fine nest that it is. I am glad the tree is doing well for you.
I am like you. I was so proud when my lilac tree and Concolor Fir got a robin's nest. It was like they finally grew up.
What a great nest! Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and I wish you both a wonderful Christmas season.
We found a little hummingbird nest in our new maple a few years ago. I'm not familiar with the hackberry tree.Balisha
