Some Purple Off The Patio

Thank goodness for the dame's rocket flowers.  They give a nice punch of purple off the patio.  A few are sprinkled in other areas too.  The drought doesn't seem to phase them.  Water drips off the patio roof so these are better than most.  In the alley, they're much shorter.

  1. Wow! They pack a punch. I grew them years ago in Illinois--they were beauties. I tried growing them here, but for some odd reason, they never took. Yours are lovely.

  6. GonSS, dame's rocket flowers look to be the same color as the Lilacs in my back yard. I like the color purple on the Lilacs and .... well the scent is heavenly as well. The blooming Lilac announces to all that can see that Spring is finally here to stay and that the bitterly cold Winter is finished. I'm always delighted to see the Lilacs and the Redbud trees begin to bloom. You have such a great view from your patio. Enjoy it while you can.

Have a great purple off the patio day.

I am improving with each passing day from my surgery --but the weekend was NOT a 'piece of cake' for me.... Oh Well... Keeps me honest, I guess... ha ha

  10. It is a great way to get them watered. I have a rose that needs to have the water diverted because it gives it too much water. The lavender is beautiful.
