And, Done!

The garden beds are clean and ready for winter.
Now to plan for next year!

Looking more and more like autumn here.  I just wish the locust tree would hold its golden leaves a bit more before dropping them everywhere.

I drained the rain barrels and flipped them over for winter.
Still have flowers blooming as we have not had a killing frost and it doesn't look like we will in the near future.  Just enjoying the nice days.

  1. Now that your work is done, you can relax and keep enjoying the nice fall days you are having.

  2. GonSS, the weather is still holding here as well. I mowed my newest property for the last time yesterday and will mow where I live for the last time today. It's been a year to remember that's for sure. I am thinking toward next year as well. It's always good to start with a clean slate in the Spring. I know what I want to accomplish but as with this year one never knows what will happen to bring challenges into the equation.

    Have great planning day.

  3. Hello!
I congratulate you, the completion of the work in the garden.
    Have a nice day!

  4. I had a lot of catching you have done a lot of work. A hole for compost is a wonderful Idea. it is looking good.

  5. I'll be posting something very similar in a few weeks. It's a race to get it all done before it gets too cold. But congrats on closing out the season. Now to dream about next year. :)

  6. You have everything looking great for winter. Your tree sure is pretty. We are enjoying delightful weather also. Mildred

  7. This has been such a great fall for giving us so many days to work in the garden. Now you can sit back and dream and plan for next year!

  8. Wow!! Looks like you have been busy!! Garden looks sleepy!! We, too have been enjoying all these beatiful days. .and I haven't missed that frost yet!! We have had several really foggy mornings. .so I am looking forward to some snow in about 90 days!! Have a great week. .and I can't wait to see what you did with all those white squash!!

    1. I shared a lot of the white gourds with friends and have them sitting on the front porch/steps and on the back patio. I saw someone lined their driveway with little pumpkins and am considering that.
